Dressing for the Best: Best Practices for starting Your Wardrobe Over

Being in my 30’s and single I have met more women recently who would like to take back their wardrobes, especially after starting families. Here are some best practices I like to follow when giving my closet a revamp:

  1. Make your wardrobe a capsule one: Sometimes less is definitely more especially with a busy mom life schedule creating a wardrobe that is functional within the hustle and bustle of everyday life .

  2. Never neglect comfort for fashion: In this day and age don’t wear it if you don’t feel comfortable in it.

  3. Clean out your closet before shopping: IF it doesn’t bring you joy, don’ t keep it. Best way to have fresh perspective is sometimes just donating what you don ‘t need anymore.

  4. Keep it classic: From a striped button up to a plain white-T don’t overthink your choices, sometimes classic is best to keep it versatile.

  5. Matching Set: Always have a few pieces that are meant to go together. This will help you have quick and easy outfits readily available.

  6. Stay true to yourself: It’s not a makeover it’s a make better, all clothes do is elevate what is best about you.

  7. Shop with a buddy: Make it enjoyable and don’t get discouraged

  8. Labels don’t mean quality: Labels don’t mean it’s quality. We want quarters not pennies.

These will help you make the best decisions for your wardrobe. And as I always say; Make it your own.
